Introducing Travel Handmade
Introducing Travel Handmade! A fun series focusing on bags, bags, and more bags! Two weeks packed full of all kinds of travel bags, from large duffle and weekend bags to cosmetic bags and luggage tags! Whether you’re traveling a couple miles or hundreds of miles, wouldn’t it be fun to have even just one pretty new handmade bag to take along with you to Sewing Summit? We sure think so! And if you can’t make it to Sewing Summit this year, perhaps you need a new make up bag or hand-sewing pouch or a weekend bag for that family trip to the beach!
We’ll be sharing our favorite inspiration, tutorials, and patterns as well as a guest blogger (or two!), each day featuring a bag they’ve made! This series is open to sewers of all skill levels, there is going to be something for everyone! We hope it will be a great way for you all to get to know the teachers and staff a bit better, and give us all something handmade to bring along to the big event! :)
Brought to you by your Travel Handmade hosts, Megan Bohr and Jeni Baker. Megan, resident Sewing Summit social media maven, blogs at Canoe Ridge Creations, sharing her current sewing and quilting projects. Jeni, fabric lover and Sewing Summit teacher, blogs at In Color Order, sharing her adventures in sewing, thrifting, and her bunny George.
It all starts here, Monday, August 15th! In the meantime, feel free to grab a button and join the flickr group!

I won’t be able to join in on all of the fun at the Sewing Summit but I am looking forward to the Travel Handmade series…a girl can never have too many bags! Smiles~Beth
Sounds like a great blog hop! Can’t wait!
Cool! An even better reason for more bags :) Thanks
Hello! Just hopped over here from Amy’s blog and boy I really am enjoying reading about this summer summit. Hopefully I will be able to take part in it.

Love this idea can’t wait to follow along. I was already thinking I needed to make a good travel bag for the summit!!
Looking forward to this, I’m sure I’ll be making some bags even though I’m not going to Summit.
Yay! Love bags! I doubt I’ll be making any in that two weeks, but I’ll be following along and may pick up a pattern or two for some fall sewing. I just shared on my blog and off to join the Flickr group now!
