Travel Handmade [Travel Purses]
Welcome to day five of Travel Handmade, Travel Purses! We’re traveling everyday, whether it be across the country on business or vacation, or running errands around town. So, why not have a beautiful handmade purse to take with you? One of the best things about making yourself a purse, is you can customize it to fit your needs and tastes. Buying (or making!), a purse is very personal, as it’s something you use almost everyday and we all look for different things in a purse! Don’t be afraid to take these patterns and tutorials to the next level by adding your own touches. Maybe you need something to attach your keys to, or more pockets. Mix and match details from multiple bags to help you create your ideal travel purse!
When you’re traveling, it can be nice to take a ‘reader’s digest’ version of your regular purse to lighten up your load on your adventures. On the other hand, sometimes it’s nice to have a little extra room to tuck away purchases, a camera, or some snacks! We’ve collected a variety of purse patterns and tutorials to fit many different traveling needs!
Now, head on over to Amy’s blog, Diary of a Quilter for a fun, quick, messenger bag! Amy is teaching Quilt Making 101 at Sewing Summit this fall! She also has a great Beginning Quilting Series you should definitely check out!
Then, be sure to check out Angela’s blog, Fussy Cut for a pattern review of the 241 Tote by Anna Graham! Angela will be attending Sewing Summit this fall and is one of the hosts of the very popular Farmer’s Wife Quilt Along!
Next, inspiration photos, free tutorials and pattern roundup! :)
