Travel Handmade [Tote Bags]
Welcome to day seven of Travel Handmade, Tote Bags! Wow, one week already! Who’s having fun? :)
Today is all about Tote Bags! These big, catch-all bags are perfect for all sorts of travel–like to the beach with the family, to the library with the kids, and even for a trip to The Sewing Summit! Like with any bag, you can add details to make your tote bag fit your personality. The best part about tote bags is that anything goes!
Another great thing about tote bags is that they can make perfect, eco-friendly shopping bags! No more paper or plastic needed! Just whip up a few basic totes (like this tutorial from Megan of Canoe Ridge Creations) and you are ready to go. Totes are even great for carrying home all of your purchase from your favorite local fabric stores!
Now head on over to Dana’s blog, Old Red Barn Co. to check out an adorable tote bag and pattern review. Dana will be teaching a class called Documenting Your Creativity – Blogging and Social Media at The Sewing Summit this fall.
Then be sure to hop on over to Jess’s blog, Urban Patchwork for another great tote bag pattern review. Jess will be teaching a class called Improv Piecing – How To Think Outside the Box at The Sewing Summit!
Next, inspiration photos, free tutorials and pattern roundup! :)
